This listing is for a large 3 pound piece of Rhodochrosite rough from Argentina, 100% natural. It has botryoidals, plumes and very solid colorful banding. This is a wonderful and rare specimen for display that any collector would be thrilled with. The outside is covered with beautiful botryoidals and just beneath the botryoidals is a layer of very solid and colorful banding and it gets even better.  Beneath the layer of banding is the huge section of world class plumes unlike anything we've seen before with Rhodochrosite. The plumes and banding pattern continues throughout the stone and can be seen in the side view.   This piece could also be used for lapidary material and cut into very valuable collector slabs and the banded area would be great for high grade cabochons. The plumes are very rare and amazing.
